The VAC of Boone County staff was proud to take part in the annual Rockford Vet Center picnic/open house, Friday July 14, 2017. Both Superintendent Bob Ryder and Assistant Superintendent Elizabeth Carville attended and enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect with plenty of veterans and professionals who work with assisting our vets. It was great to see old friends such as State Senator Steve Stadelman and Vietnam veteran and advocate Nick Parnello at the event. The food was great and so was the camaraderie! We can’t wait to take part next year!

Thanks to everyone who came out to our recent Open House for our new offices at the PNC Bank building at 130 S. State Street in downtown Belvidere. We had more than 75 people show up for this great celebration of our new location. Thanks to everyone who attended and who helped make this wonderful event possible!

Local veterans got to enjoy some of the Rockford Airfest thanks to the efforts of the Veterans Assistance Commission of Boone County and Rockford Airline Manager David Charles Lindberg. Assistant Superintendent Brian Brooks did a great job of getting the vets to the Airfest and making sure everyone had a great time. Thanks to all who helped make this fun day possible !!!!
